Snake Twist Pilates is a private Pilates studio housed in a beautifully restored barn on a peaceful farm with sweeping views of the Front Range. It offers a serene and grounding space to move, breathe, and reconnect.
Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your body, goals, experience, and learning style guiding you toward greater strength, balance, and awareness.
Conveniently located between Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Niwot, and Erie, the studio is easily accessible yet feels worlds away.

About Our Equipment
Based on the original designs of Joseph Pilates, our apparatus restores the subtle functionalities that make classical Pilates so unique.
Contrology Reformer / Tower
Reformer – Features dense foam, providing clear tactile feedback. The lower footbar angle naturally draws you into your center, enhancing core engagement and control.
Tower – The arm and leg springs deliver a dynamic challenge, easily adjustable to target strength, balance, and coordination. The wooden push-through and roll-down bars further refine flexibility, strength, and precision in your movement.
Gratz Arm Chair
This apparatus comes equipped with professional-grade springs and high-quality handles to increase upper body and arm strength, encourage healthy posture, and integrate core muscle groups.
Wunda Chair
Offers a unique advantage in Pilates by letting you target specific muscle groups. Its adjustable springs and attachments provide different levels of resistance and difficulty. The adjustable resistance allows you to focus on specific areas of the body
Ladder barrel, spine corrector,

Used to elongate and strengthen the important and delicate muscles of the neck. When used regularly, it stabilizes the spine, works the shoulders, and releases tension within the upper body.

Carefully crafted to ease bunion pain, strengthen muscles, and reestablish proper alignment in the lower body.

Guided by experience, curiosity, and compassion, Julia brings over a decade of experience and a deep love of movement back home to Boulder, Colorado.
Snake Twist Pilates was founded by Julia, a Boulder native with a lifelong passion for movement and teaching. After earning her B.A. in Kinesiology in Los Angeles, she completed two classical Pilates certifications; one under a student of Romana Kryzanowska and the other under a student of Jay Grimes. While in LA, Julia worked alongside an experienced chiropractor and assisted a respected physical therapist, deepening her understanding of movement, rehabilitation, and the body’s natural mechanics. With over a decade of experience, a background in competitive gymnastics, and ongoing martial arts training, she brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to every session.
Now back home on the Front Range, Julia has created a welcoming space for her community to move, reconnect, and feel at home in their bodies. Outside the studio, she’s a proud mom to a six-year-old son and a spirited young dog.
